TOWN PRESENTATION

Latouille-Lentillac stretches the northwestern part of the Lot. Two villages united in a common since the late 19th century.

Latouille in the valley on the edge of CD 30 between Saint-Cere in Latronquière, at the confluence of several rivers, some 200 m above sea level.

Lentillac, 3.5 km above the edge of the plateau ségalin, 550 m altitude, between St Cere and Sousceyrac.

Latouille, recent village, created in the 1880s, became town center following the construction of his public school in 1885.

Lentillac, placed in the tower, the rolling hills fathom enemy. The ancient village has retained the charm of its heritage buildings encircling a small Romanesque church of the 11th century (monument). Several artists have drawn inspiration from this resort and village.

SIGHTSEEING

The town, which straddles two parishes, has three churches, two of which are worth visiting. That of Lentillac is a small masterpiece novel, simple, pure, recently restored. She invites you to visit, particularly for the brackets outside the choir.

Verdale Chapel, built against an overhanging rock, remains a pilgrimage site and is accessed by a footpath alongside the stream Tolerme. This is an ideal place for walking for pleasure and wonder at the wild site that protects the chapel.

Hiking trails (pedestrians and ATVs) Latouille-Lentillac of "a village running". The local association CALL opened several walks among which we mention "the path of the three churches" of 12 km, which led to the discovery of the landscape and local architectural heritage.

The way art-nature: it is the combination of a nature trail and a lined road some forty artworks permanently mounted on its path through the forest, since 1999. Each year it moves around the sculptures that are added.

Another superb course: the cascade of the Great Leap, practicing in the summer by walkers athletes in top form as the trail is littered with rocks and dotted with creek crossings.

Among the events, we must remember mainly the activities and events organized by the association CALL: hikes, concerts, workshops cider and chestnuts, discoveries and entertainment theme.
