Located in the heart of the Haute-Tarentaise, at 1850 m above sea level on a site south-facing balcony, La Rosière is a friendly resort built respecting mountain architectural traditions.
On December 23, 1960, "The Poletta", the first ski lift was La Rosière officially commissioned. Around a bar-hotel-restaurant, a ski instructor and a boom operator, the station takes its first steps. Enjoying an exceptional setting, under the watchful eye of Mont Blanc, alpine village grows over the years the image of the link with Italy opened in January 1985. In 50 years, the site has changed but has kept it holds most dear: his soul and the beauty of its landscapes. Warm, family, human La Rosière has many advantages. Linked with La Thuile in Italy, La Rosière is also the only Savoyard resort to offer an international ski area of 160 km of slopes: the Espace San Bernardo. Enjoying a very sunny (because of its south facing French side) and excellent snow conditions (due to the north facing slopes on the Italian side), Espace San Bernardo makes all activities of skiing.

La Rosière 1850 also welcomes you in summer in the heart of its beautiful scenery, alpine meadows and snowy peaks mix. Located a few kilometers from the Italian border and the Little St Bernard Pass, the resort opens in winter as well as beautiful scenery Valle d'Aosta which combine culture and gastronomy.
