La Haie-Fouassière (or Hague-Fouassière) is the home of Muscadet, a name created between the two wars by 8 local winemakers. The town takes its name from the "Fouace" (or "Fouasse" - quoted by Rabelais as the preferred cake of Pantagruel), loaf-shaped cake star to 6 horns that were manufactured during the period of harvest. The Hague-Fouassière hosts a major plant LU (which had moved from Nantes 20 years ago). All shops and services. Village Flowers (4 flowers).
