• In 1138, Alberic, sent by St. Bernard, founded the Cistercian Abbey of Our Lady of The Blessing of God, whose name will be distorted over the ages "La Bénisson-Dieu. The original abbey church dates from the late 12th century. A transition between Romanesque and Gothic art, is a building typical Cistercian stained glass in grisaille, sober magnified by limestone blond.
