L'Isle-Jourdain is situated in Gascony, the heart of the Southwest. Historically, Gascony is a large territory, a principality in South-West France. Despite its changes, Gascon identity remains throughout the ancien regime and until today.
Gascony is a vast territory located in the Southwest between the Pyrenees, the left bank of the Garonne and the Atlantic Ocean. This is a rural area with a high quality of landscapes: from east to west, the territory has 4 major landscape units:

L'Isle-Jourdain, a remarkable heritage:
Campanaire Art Museum: Located in the old hall, the Museum of Art Campanaire is unique in Europe. Created in 1995, it includes an outstanding collection of bells, chimes, bells, bells ... from around the world. Claude Augé home: The house is a listed building. It has beautiful stained glass, including that of "The Sower" emblem publish Cambridge. Claude Augé, illustrates Lislois, creator of the Petit Larousse Illustrated and many other dictionaries was born and lived in L'Isle-Jourdain.

Panat Castle was built in the late 19th century by Samuel Joseph Castelpers Brunet, Marquis de Panat, and his wife Margaret Sales. The building brings together the architectural memories that the couple had met during his travels. The castle was sold by Emeric of Panat, the last of Panat. It is private property and can be visited.
Instead of City Hall and City Hall: This is a recent creation, founded only in 1877. She holds within it the emblem of the city.
