City Tour: Enjoy the time of the Renaissance as you stroll on the pier Peceaux along the "Little Venice", the Mail dock or on the deck of Poncelot the 16th century. Be amazed by the maze of narrow alleys of the Old Town and its medieval houses nestled against the hill of the old feudal castle, which was once the home of the Princes of Joinville.
The Church of Our Lady (twelfth century) is full of jewels and works of art unique. A remarkable alabaster tomb (sixteenth century), the belt relic of St. Joseph of the Crusade brought by St. Louis or the Organ Louis Le Bé invoice typical French (seventeenth century) in its original box (tribune of the 16th century) are available for your contemplation.
The Chapel of St. Anne (1504) flamboyant style features remarkable stained glass (16th century Troyes school) illustrating the life of St. Anne and the Virgin. Near the chapel is also the tomb of Sir John and Princes of Joinville, faithful companion of the king.
The audience is the former seigneurial court that was created in 1561 by Antoinette de Bourbon. This is one of the few survivors in France. You will discover in many reconstructions (80 costumed mannequins size). You will meet the good king St. Louis, relive the funeral of Claude de Lorraine, 1st Duke of Guise and also the visit to Joinville of Louis XIII, with the Musketeers and Cardinal Richelieu. Before leaving, let yourself be trapped in the dungeons of the Principality of Joinville.
The Apothecary: Former Hospital Pharmacy Joinville built in 1567, it becomes now a museum containing over 230 pots and utensils used in this establishment in the 18th and 19th centuries. Come discover the cures of witches of old.
