• The city of Jallais has 3 266 inhabitants. The total area is 52.81 kilometers square, it is therefore the 2nd Joint Borough after Cholet. This town is located north west of France, south west of Anjou and the heart of Mauges. It lies 17 km north of Cholet, 48 km south west of Angers and 58 km east of Nantes.
• History:

• Towards the end of the 10th century, is in a charter of the word Jalesiens, Jalesiacus, then Jalesia Jales the 11th century: Jalesuim, Galiscus, Jaleis the 12th century; Jalleti Galeis then in the 13th century, 14th century and 15th century, 1520, according to an inscription on a chalice, the name of Jallay in 1545, somewhat later, Jalais.
