Hirtzbach is a small village in Alsace, in the southern department of Haut-Rhin, Sundgau. This village is located 4 km from the city of Altkirch the capital district.

This town is named after the creek that runs through the village to throw himself into the nearby Ill.

Vegetated and renatured, lined with old lime trees, crossed by twelve bridges flooded with flowers, stream and its banks have made Hirtzbach famous for the exceptional quality of its flowers. Its half-timbered houses are well maintained, they are found almost everywhere, particularly along the stream (main street). From May to October, the windows and balconies are crumbling under the geraniums, petunias or fuchsias.

Located opposite the castle, the English garden (park) has been available to the common family Reinach. Visitors appreciate his very pleasant, quiet location and discover with delight the quality of its vegetation.

Its forest area is large (700 ha). Hirtzbach is the common forest par excellence. Many opportunities are available to hikers seeking quiet, clean air and cool in a vast forest estate and welcoming, flanked here and there ponds in which to relax.
