Ranrouët Castle is located in the town of Herbignac, bordering the marshes of Brière. The first castle mound which nothing remains was built in the 12th century. Built of stone in the 13th century, the castle has been constantly revised until the 17th century. It presents a good example of the evolution of military architecture. Today, this stone fortress is in a green setting for strolling and relaxing.

Tours and activities are offered from April to September as well for large than for small.
