• The Star City of Givors:

• Passionate about architecture? The architectural and urban-Star Renaudie, built between 1974 and 1981 by architect Jean Renaud, received in September 2003, the Heritage label of the 20th century. This district backed the hill Saint Gerald consists mainly of social housing and public services. Struggling against the trivialization of the great all while remaining within the spirit of the modern movement, Jean Renaud designed a star-shaped architecture that allows the majority of homes have one or more roof gardens. This project is the brainchild of Mayor Camille Vallin who wanted to build a quality neighborhood in the city center.

• The castle of St. Gerald:

• The Château Saint-Gerald or "fortified house" was built in the 13th century by the archbishop of Lyon Renaud de Forez to protect the new tolls on goods transported over land and water. The medieval town grew around the castle which was destroyed during the religious wars in 1591 by the Duke of Lesdiguieres. The ruins were rediscovered in 1974 during the destruction of the Old Givors and construction of the Stars Renaudie.

• The Church of St. Nicolas:

• Placed under the protection of Saint Nicolas, patron saint of sailors and people of the rivers is one of three churches Givors. The first church of St. Nicolas was built by the sailors in the 15th century.
• Completed in 1822 it was Greco-Roman style houses and organs out of the Paris studio of Joseph Merklin, classified as historical monuments in 1986. Renowned for its stained glass, there are also outside a scale showing flood flooding.

• Industrial Heritage:

• Industrial city from the 18th century, Givors keeps many traces of that past. Industry was the first inland waterway, the sailors operating the early location of the city. Ideally located at the confluence of the Rhone and Gier, industry givordine developed through this exceptional location. The glassware was one of the first industries to locate in 1749. Became the 19th and 20th century glassware and Souchon-Neuvesel BSN, they were the flagship of the industry givordine until 2003. The tower of the glass is still visible along the Gier, behind the station Givors city. Channel Givors, commissioned in 1780 and connecting to Givors Rive de Gier and Grand Cross was also critical to the development of the city, thanks to the routing of coal from the valley of the Gier. It was covered by the A47 in 1970. It is now possible to see the old canal house, place the basin.

• City of Grigny: A few miles Givors, find Grigny and heritage. Of City Hall with wall paintings of the 17th century, the Church of St. Peter from the 12th century, you can go through the house with Hosotte local collections of hats and pottery. Admire also the Manor Park and the banks of the Rhone. So you can walk in the lônes, oxbow of the river, to the neighboring town of Vernaison.
