Heritage fortified Givet: Givet illustrates the history of this troubled border region between two enemy kingdoms. First Fortified by Charles V in the 16th century the city was rebuilt by Vauban in the 17th century. City Givet is characterized by its narrow streets, its fort, its fortified church, its doors but also imposing towers: the tower Gregory (eleventh century) and the round wins.

• Fort of Charlemont:

• Latest architectural remains of the military art of the 17th century in northern France, the fort is perched on the cliff of Pointe East. This citadel was built in 1555 by Charles V, and was fortified by Vauban in the 17th century. Today the fortress houses the Commando Training Center of the French army.
• Open from June 28 to August 30, guided tours only and organized by the Office of Tourism, Wednesday to Sunday from 10h to 12h and 13h to 17h.
