Gigondas is a beautiful village nestled at the foot of Laces of Montmirail, in the purest style of Provence with its beautiful houses with round tiles and old facades. Located in the heart of the ancient principality of Orange, its name comes from the Latin "Jucunditas" which means joy and gladness.

Former spa Gigondas reflects a rich history. In the 19th century, the site of Montmirail is famous for its thermal springs and mineral waters purgative properties. Resort to fashion, we came across then as Frederic Mistral hydrotherapy or Sarah Bernhardt came to heal. This water is rich in sulphides and sulphates of calcium, magnesium and sodium will be sold in all pharmacies in France.

• The church, its castle, its ramparts, its Romanesque churches and the Path of Sculptures, golf outdoor contemporary sculpture installed on the heights of the medieval village in the heart of the old Hospices make it a place to visit. Opposite, a nature trail and archaeological be discovered.
• For wine lovers, Gigondas is of course a must. The vineyard covers 1200 ha and the village has the AOC (Cru) since 1971. Many wine cellars await you to discover all the intricacies of these wines.
