Francescas is contiguous with the Gers department, in a hilly countryside between the valleys of the Baise and Grand Auvignon. This bastide, founded in 1286 by Edward 1st of England, has retained its medieval appearance, with its arcaded square and half-timbered houses and the remains of the remains of La Hire, lord of the famous and comrade Joan of Arc.
