Florensac is a small friendly city located in the department of Herault, in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards. It is part of the Community of Agglomeration Herault-Mediterranean since 2003. The town is the capital of the canton, which includes Pomérols, Pinet and Castelnau-de-Guers.

Nearly 4,700 Florensacois live on 3 600 hectares of its territory, between the plains and scrublands of the Herault river, about ten miles of sandy beaches along the Mediterranean coast.
