Located at the foot of Green Valley, Fillinges is crossed from east to west by Menoge and Foron. The Menoge separates the two large areas of the town, south "plate" and north "the mountain". Fillinges is located in the canton of Reignier and is part of the Community of Municipalities of the Four Rivers. For several centuries, was exclusively agricultural Fillinges.
