Ferney-Voltaire is located between Geneva and the Jura mountains. Voltaire has left a strong impression in this cosmopolitan city of about 8,500 inhabitants. Ferney owed his fame to its development and Voltaire, who spent the last twenty years of his life, near Lake Geneva and the Jura.
