Based on the verge of Ourcq nascent Fère-en-Tardenois was an important station Gallic and Gallo-Roman. The birthplace of Camille Claudel (08-12-1864), sculptor and sister of Paul Claudel, poet and playwright born in Villeneuve-sur Fere-August 6, 1868. Fère-en-Tardenois is one of the main centers of the Tardenois territory which lies south of the Aisne department, boundaries of regions of Champagne-Ardenne, Ile-de-France, Picardy.

Access by road: 100 km from Paris via the A4 motorway from the east - 50 km from Reims - 22 km from Château-Thierry - 25 km south of Soissons.

By train: from Paris via Reims East with connections to Meaux.

• Remains of Castle Fère-en-Tardenois: it is in the thick woods of the valley Ourcq the imposing remains of the medieval castle, rebuilt in the 16th century by Anne de Montmorency, turn out to visitors. The arched bridge of the impressive Renaissance gallery extending the ruins of the castle perched on a mound strangely reminiscent of those of the castle of Chenonceaux.
• The corn: in the center of town, the corn exchange (MH 04/19/1921) built between 1545 and 1550, during the reign of Anne de Montmorency, served as a military hospital during WWI. The imposing structure was built with chestnut trees of the castle.
• The town park for relaxation and recreation 100 acres: picnic area, lake for fishing. Hiking trails, biking and equestrian.
• The Devil's pannierfuls: a chaos of strange rock formations deposited in the woods and heaths, the basketful of the Devil is a pleasant place for walking and climbing. Place that inspired Camille Claudel, sculptor.

• Visit the castle of the 16th century, the granary, the literary tour of Camille and Paul Claudel.

• Market: Wednesday morning (downtown and in the hall).

• Le Clos Joli, a garden of painter to Brecy. The day before the 13th century church on the property bordered by lime trees. • Necropolis American Seringes-and-Nesles: Located on U.S. soil, that piece of land has been offered by France to host 6012 597 unknown soldiers who died for freedom.
