Etel is located at the mouth of the estuary (inlets) that bears his name.

A former fishing port has experienced a great boom in the 30s, the tuna were subsequently transferred gradually to their place of pleasure boats. The town is busy all year round thanks to its economic activities, associations (sporting, cultural and artistic) and numerous educational facilities.

• The Bar Etel natural phenomenon which owes its name to a sandbar submarine at the mouth of the Ria d'Etel. It is formed when the tide rises or falls, disappears at high tide and drains up to 2 m at low tide and moves with the wind and currents.
• The Museum of tuna: a small museum of nature, intimate and evolving. The Tuna Museum traces the history of the Ria of Etel and his tuna port. 5 rooms offer over 450 sqm a visit steeped in authenticity and emotion. Open from Easter to All Saints + Exhibition nurseries shipping mid-December to late January.
• Sports: sailing (catamaran, Optimist, windsurfing), scuba diving, kayaking, tennis.

• Every Tuesday morning: market throughout the year.
• On Friday evening (July / August): Semi-night market.
• 1st Sunday of August: Day Tuna, parade floats and folk groups and famous meal of tuna "albacore" followed by fireworks.
