SIGHTSEEING
  • The district Godelins: In 1895, Oscar and Victoria Legris couple of the Belle Epoque, decide to establish a well-known seaside destination by developing the range of Godelins. This industrial Versailles therefore promotes urbanization of the municipality by the construction of villas, bath houses, hot baths and the development of roads to the beach. In early 1900, has 18 villas with Stables Oscar Legris was the promoter. Each has a female name which meets the initial alphabetical order. The villas vary in size but identical in design. Each house was rented with a bathhouse on the beach. The majority of these villas are located avenue Victoria Boulevard Legris and rue du Commandant Charcot. In front of the beach Godelins, Oscar Legris sells land, and the Bellevue Hotel is built and opened in 1907. Occupied by the Germans during World War II, he became the center of camp. The old hotel is now a co-ownership of several private apartments. Do you know? In 1910, a proposed cable car linking the town and the beach is validated. Finally, the introduction of animal-drawn tramway will be judged too expensive. Free guided tours of the district are held every summer.
  • The Notre Dame - St. John the Baptist Parish: Initially dedicated to Our Lady, the parish church was built in the 13th century by the order of Premonstratensians. She has seen many changes. Enlarged in 1632 by the south chapel (now called the Sacred Heart), the church seemed too small to Robert Prior. The choir seemed too small for the Office of the Mass and for his parishioners. He decided to tear down this wall bedside and build a chorus worthy of the name, shaped rotunda. Construction began October 16, 1770. Apart from support from the Abbey of Beauport, the parish assured the cost of this work. The people were not rich at the time, it was an opportunity to find work. The women went to get sand to Ponto, after vespers. Men, with their harness, did chores. It was worthy of an altar and choir of the building. The prior thought of Carrara marble from Italy and it's over Marseille as the magnificent altar was brought by boat to the stable door. Still in place, it was listed as historic monuments. The tower was missing was to house the bells start of construction since 1788. The bell tower is original form as it is square with three floors. It is surmounted by a statue of the Virgin Mary nearly 3.50 meters to replace the ancient bell tower covered with zinc. The nave is divided by a set of towering pillars strengthening the novel aspect of the building. Free guided tours of the church are held every summer.
  • The Chapel of Our Lady of Hope: The Chapel of Our Lady of Hope was built in 1850, after a cholera epidemic. This chapel was the place of pilgrimage for half a century for the Newfoundland and the fishermen in Iceland. It is home to many ex-votos. This is a site where women watched the fishing boats arrive. Located near the beach of Moulin, in a cliff, on private land, it was built by parishioners ...
  • The viaduct Pourrhis: In early 1900, the department of Cotes du Nord decided to expand its rail network to diversify its economy. The first train arrives from Paris to Saint-Brieuc September 7, 1863. Then lines are created to serve the municipalities of the department, including the Saint-Brieuc-Plouha. It goes through the town of establish-sur-Mer. If the station no longer exists (the recreation room is located at the site of the old station), the Pourrhis viaduct, built by Louis Harel of Noah, was rehabilitated by the Association for Preservation Pourrhis viaduct. It is located near the Valley of the Ponto.
  • The plight of the street rented: The plight of the street was renting the 15th century. It represents Christ on the cross, surrounded by angels, Saint John and Saint Magdalene and the other side, the Virgin and child. This ordeal was a place of pilgrimage during outbreaks. At the beginning of the revolution to avoid the depredations, the local residents dismantled and found inside a scroll detailing the indulgences granted to the faithful come to pray. The ordeal was moved in 1985 for the convenience of traffic ...
  • Free guided tours around the theme of Petit Train des Cotes du Nord are organized every summer.
