Charming town of 25,000 residents, located between the Marne and Coteaux, Epernay welcomes you. At the crossroads of the circuits of the "Champagne Tourist Route" through which all the famous wines, Epernay is surrounded by hills whose slopes are covered with vineyards producing the famous wine. The heart of the vineyard, with its 30,000 hectares in production, beats at Epernay.

Epernay is a dynamic city whose economy is marked by the food and especially champagne. Agriculture and viticulture mainly occupy more than 30% of the usable area. The industry, meanwhile, represented by three main sectors: industry and mechanical processing, construction and public works, and finally the Champagne industry and related activities. Trade Epernay is a center of attraction which extends about 21 municipalities. And tertiary services are highly developed.

The Avenue de Champagne district major production houses and trading wine world famous Avenue de Champagne is adorned with many buildings of the 19th century appearance opulent Renaissance or classical, and in 1994 ranked among the 100 Sites of Exceptional Taste in France. The City Hall: Former mansion of Mr. Auban-Moët, built in 1858 and ceded to the city in 1919, it retains the charm of a stately home in the middle of a beautiful park. Inside, luxurious rooms, including room Weddings and the Council Chamber, deserve the attention of visitors. In front, a terrace has been cleverly used as a buttress of the Memorials, the work of M. Giraud, architect, and MJ Dechin, Prix de Rome for sculpture. The City Hall stands in a magnificent park designed in the last century by the Brothers Buhl, creators of the Parc de la Tete d'Or in Lyon.

L'Orangerie: Jardin de l'Orangerie Establishments Moet et Chandon, was drawn to the First Empire (1807) by Lorraine painter Isabey.
