The name refers to Enchastrayes rackets (Chastre) and snow this common ubac. Its territory is scattered hamlets highlighting the land and ice benches: the Sauze, La Concha, the Conchette, Villard. At the meeting point of these neighborhoods were built the parish church, rectory and school (now mayor), the war memorial. But the new heart of the town is the resort of Sauze created in 1933 by farmer Honore Couttolenc response to the enthusiastic appetite ski Marseilles. She saw development take place so far: 65 km of trails, 23 lifts, 37 slopes, a snow park at 2000 m altitude and a brand new stadium slalom.
