Located in the Indre, the intersection between Berry and Limousin region Eguzon fits into the Valley of the Creuse in the foothills of the Massif Central.

With its lake of 312 acres preserved its natural and cultural riches, it is one of the major tourist attractions of the department.

Lake Eguzon, created in 1926 by the impoundment of what was then the most powerful dam in Europe, to greatly upset the local environment. By 1961, with the creation of the "Base Nautique de Chambon, his role was decisive in the field of outdoor recreation and tourism.

In the Valley of the Creuse, in the foothills of the Massif Central, Lake Eguzon, the largest in the Central Region, offers a wide choice of leisure and outdoor activities to do alone or with family water skiing, sailing, canoeing, rowing, but also hiking, biking or riding (over three hundred kilometers of marked trails).

The region also benefits Eguzon of cultural heritage interest including a museum of Art and Popular Traditions and many historical monuments (Roman church, castles, ruins?) Evidence of past centuries.
