Échevannes is a small village located 640 meters above sea level. This is a rural town with three farms and a cheese factory (manufacturing County; visit possible). There are also several farms typical of the architecture of Franche-Comte.

A small chapel of the 16th century reflects the local history, which traces its roots to some vestiges of the Roman period.

Échevannes is located on the plateau overlooking the valley of the Loue, one of the most beautiful rivers in Franche-Comte.

A privileged climate, which has long permitted the cultivation of the vine, promotes development in places of Mediterranean vegetation (dry grasslands typical of the Jura, downy oak ...).

Away from major roads, the village, very quiet, however, is close to all amenities: bakery, grocery, butcher, etc..

Several routes for hiking and mountain biking traverse the valley of the Loue and can be borrowed from Échevannes.

In the village: petanque, golf multigame (tennis, football, basketball, handball, badminton), walking and hiking (on foot, by bike ...).

The first weekend of July: hillclimb car-Vuillafans Échevannes (championship of France of the mountain).

Within a radius of 35 km: Ornans (birthplace of the painter Gustave Courbet new museum opening in 2011), two World Heritage Sites of UNESCO (citadel of Besançon and Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans) castle de Joux Pontarlier Doubs jump; Lake Malbuisson; cave boards.

Visits picturesque villages in the valley of the Loue, Route Courbet, Dinozoo (Prehistoric Park), gorges de Noailles, the chasm Poudrey.

A Ornans: via ferrata, tree climbing, canoeing, Nautiloue (natatorium).
