Dozulé is a town located north of the Pays d'Auge, a few miles from the sea, in the middle of Normandy. Easy access by road to Caen Pont l'Eveque, or just by the A13 motorway. Ideal gateway for exploring the countryside Auge, its calm, its cider and cheese production, heritage and history.
The municipality of Dozulé was initially called the Esmangard Plessis, and the current name dates from the Hundred Years War after the village was burned by the troops of the English king Edward the third in his first big ride in 1346, opening the period of the Hundred Years War. The residents would then be called the "Burnt Back," which has evolved over time by alteration of language to become "Dozulé".
The Notre Dame, built in 1843 is an early example of Gothic Revival architectural work.
Dozulé has many shops of all types that make it a central town in the area. Many events are held throughout the year.

Dozulé market held every Tuesday on the place of the monument.
In May: Dozul'en May On a weekend, exhibitions and craft market and parade Norman.
July: torchlight procession and fireworks to mark the national holiday.
In October, a weekend festival takes place from Apple.
December: Christmas market.

The area surrounding the town are rich with opportunities for visits and tastings of cheese products and cider (apple juice, cider, calvados and pommel) on farms in the Pays d'Auge. The Pays d'Auge is also the traditional architecture with wood sides and the many mansions that dot the grove.
The sea and the seaside resorts of the Côte Fleurie nearby.
Many hiking trails on foot, horseback, bicycle and electric bicycle, through the region, as well as outdoor activities are available nearby.
The small churches of the Pays d'Auge, for the most excellent examples of Romanesque architecture in Normandy.
The racecourse is close to Angerville. It was held in May and August, three formal meetings (PMU) per year and international polo matches this summer.
