Occupied continuously since the end of prehistory, the ancient village of Dachstein, ancient Episcopal city, is located on the RD30, northeast of Molsheim.

Significant vestiges of the Middle Ages still exist today, the door of the weevil. It is reduced by half in 1574 as evidenced by the inscription on the outside, making it unique.

Private property, the Chateau de Turckheim of neo-Renaissance style, was built within the walls of the medieval fortress.

The Church of St. Martin is characterized by its long nave of the 18th century and its imposing baroque high altar.

Through the streets, one can appreciate more traditional half-timbered farmhouses, sometimes embellished with a carved wooden gallery. We should also mention a few buildings in rubble from the 16th to the 18th century, like the elegant hall built in 1583.

In the village, the castle also hides Herve Magnanerie said. Built in 1750, this private mansion housed a Royal School for the cultivation of silkworms. In the 1990s, this idyllic setting was used in the filming of the saga Alsatian "Both Mathilde."
