Located on the Route du Champagne, along the River Marne, Cumières is a pretty wine village, famous for its Champagne but also for its hillside Champagne Red (light red wine, not sparkling!). The sculptor Eric Sleziak made 23 statues representing the work of Vine and Wine, you can admire the statues of 2.30 m in height on the banks of the Marne.

Walk or bicycle arrow in the village and surrounding vineyards.

Discover the banks of the Marne by the towpath, which owns the panels installed by the Parc Naturel Régional de la Montagne de Reims, giving much information on the river fauna and flora on the banks of the Marne.

Cumières and Saint-Jean-Baptiste perpetuate the fires of St. John on the occasion of the patronal feast of the village in late June, with the lantern parade, kindling the fire of Saint John and fireworks celebration ending with the rides of the funfair, the bar and dance hall. It was also during this festival that the village children receive their money the school year on the Kiosk Jard, prices offered by the villagers in book form.

After the carnival, held each year the weekend following the annual village flea market.

At year end, the village Cumières participates in many activities, under the "road nurseries.
