Located on the right bank of the Dordogne and its confluence with the brook "Cacrey" Creysse the site was an ideal defense. Its position on the rocky outcrop allowed monitoring of the river and the plain Meyronne. It is therefore quite possible that the rock Creysse before becoming a formidable fortress in the Middle Ages, was already fortified in the 5th century and a wooden fort was built there, which prevented him for seven years Visigoth tribes that then occupied the valley of the Garonne river, crossing the Dordogne.
Mount Mercou: very good view of the Cantal mountains on a clear day.
Visit of the church with its two twin apses, unique in Western Europe. It is posted on a rocky peak from where one can see the surrounding villages and the Dordogne and its tributary the Cacrey.
