The common Coulangeron is located southeast of the department of Yonne, about twenty miles from Auxerre. It covers about 860 hectares and is seen by crossing local roads that go up the town bordering Ouanne, and the D85 and D950 until Gy-l'Évêque.
The municipality is composed of town and five villages: Grapoule, Crosles down, Crosles up, Bleigny, The Chocat.

History Coulangeron: Coulangeron former royal stronghold, has existed since the 16th century. It belongs to the Vineuse Coulanges, then Merry-sec. Chery holds an important place because it became an independent commune after the revolution. The merger with Coulangeron be held in May 1792, at which time (1794), Coulangeron is managed by the Township Ouanne. In 1802 the parish of Coulangeron is attached to the ecclesiastical jurisdiction of the Vineuse Coulanges and it was in 1805 that can be dated clearly the attachment of his Coulangeron Township. In 1867 Crosles down that part of the joint is attached to Escamps Coulangeron.
