Corveissiat is located about 25 km from Bourg-en-Bresse, and was merged with the communes of Saint-Maurice-d'Echazeaux and Arnan in 1944 and 1965.

This village is situated on a plateau rising to 450 meters to the east of it flows the river Ain, at the foot of the cliff, 200 feet below in the valley of the Ain.

The terrain is dry, it may appear in the sources slopes towards the River Ain.

• Many sites are remarkable in this county, namely:

• The archaeological site of Mont Didier: Remains of the village disappeared since 1936 and the 12th century castle overlooking the valley of the Ain. This village was troubled by the Franco-Spanish wars. He suffered looting, massacres and famines to be ravaged in the 16th century. The village was reoccupied until the 20th century, when the last inhabitants were identified at Mont Didier in 1936. Today, the vegetation has taken over, but you can still walk among the ruins of the village.
• Cave and the remote to Balme Corveissiat: This remote is one of the most remarkable Revermont. It is characterized by high cliffs open at one of the most impressive revivals of Revermont. It was dug by the stream from the cave. Its porch is 30 feet high (controlled visits). Since the high cliffs, viewpoints on the remote and gorges of Ain.
