First "Organic Village" of France, Correns, bathed by the waters of the Argens, offers the discovery of its medieval past, hikes in Sourn Valley, its famous white wine and its lifestyle.

Strongly oriented towards organic farming, this small village in central Var, in the heart of Green Provence, holds many surprises. Indeed, almost all of its farmers grow according to the principles of organic farming since 1997, about 80 farmers: a wine cellar, three wineries, two breeders of poultry and egg producing, a beekeeper, a breeder Goat installed by the municipality in which the herd allows good forest management (including fire risk) and the next production of goat cheese, a grain, two gardeners, a plant specialist for aromatic and medicinal plants that will create a distillery to turn them into essential oils.

In addition, for five years, the municipality has established a strong action for the development of eco-construction and Environmental Quality (Hall rehabilitated under this approach), and offers an organic meal a week at the school canteen .

In Correns center, a castle called Fort Gibron, preserved and renovated with taste. You can still see the gargoyles!

Walk away from Correns: the Bessillon, 6 hours walk to reach the roof of the Var and see all the surrounding municipalities.
