TOWN PRESENTATION

Clermont is situated in Picardy, in the center of the Oise department which is one of the sub-prefectures. It is located on the right bank of the breccia at the confluence of that river with the arrest. The historical center is located on a hill and the city below.

It was built on the bottom of a castle in the 10th century the town was surrounded by a wall with several doors that were destroyed in the 17th century under the orders of Louis XIII. In the fifteenth, several suburbs have been formed and had convents (Trinitarian monastery of St. Andrew, Ursuline Convent). It had several names in Latin and old French from Clarus Mons Clermont in Beauvais. It was the scene of the Jacquerie 1358.
