Chennebrun was a border village between Normandy and France in the twelfth / thirteenth century, surrounded by two wood - wood from France and the wood of Normandy. Dominated by its castle surrounded by high walls, the village is in the shape of the cross and was very active commercially until the Second World War. He keeps in spite of its population very modest activity and some businesses are essential to the inhabitants of the village and the nearest villages.

The village is remarkable for the overall quality and consistency of its construction, materials and colors.

The church with its beautiful altar and restored stained glass very interesting.

A museum Charitons explains a tradition that has existed until the 1950s.

The area of the castle can be visited and worth a stop.

The village is crossed by several arms of the Avre and the main road crosses several old bridges, a wash house was restored and remains in the countryside a beautiful Marietta.
