Between 1822 and 1905, the College of Chauvé, church and school serving the children of the minor seminary Retz, trained men like the historian Pitre Knight Paimboeuf painter or sculptor Henri Rousseau.

- The megaliths: the menhir of Lematz Pierre: menhir sandstone of 3.75 m. The menhir of Chevanou: menhir curious bottle-shaped, high of 4.10 m. - The 16th century noble house located in the river Mulon: Julien Ranou, aide de camp of General Humbert, who distinguished himself in the Irish expedition against the English in 1798 by entering the first in Castlebar, lived in this home.
- The mill of the Rigaudière: this mill has many crosses indicating the passage of various millers.
- The church from the 19th century: the first Gothic Revival church in the department. Its magnificent façade is worth seeing. During the Second World War, its bell tower was largely destroyed.
