At the heart of the Massif du Sancy, nature has remained strong and wild. The nature reserve is home to the nearby valley of the Salt Fountain for hiking magic between pastures and farmhouses shady beech forests, springs, waterfalls and hills loaded with blueberries. The resort summer winter Chastreix-Sancy can include horseback riding in the Massif du Sancy, for a few hours or days of hiking.

In winter, the ski area has 16 km of ski runs, a northern area joining the Mont-Dore in the North and South Super Besse, more than 40 km. Possibility of introduction to driving sled dogs.

In summer you can also go paragliding (if one brings his equipment), mountain biking or fishing.

The annual feast day takes place on August 15 with the traditional parade of floats and balls.
