Chassant is a small village in the Eure-et-Loir and the Central Region. Its inhabitants are called Chassantais and Chassantaises.

The town covers 4.5 km ² and 324 inhabitants per the 2006 census. With a density of 72.6 inhabitants per km ², Chassant rose by 8.7% of its population by 1999.

Surrounded by the municipalities of La Croix-du-Perche, Combres and Frazer, Chassant is located 34 km south west of Luce's largest city nearby.

Thiron River is the main river that runs through the town.

Chassant is close to the Parc Naturel Régional du Perche (2 km).

Mayor Chassant is named Yves Ruel.

• Church of Saint-Lubin:

• Dating from the 12th century church of Saint-Lubin has an entrance porch beneath the tower square on two floors. Its slate roof is decorated with a cornice with alternating white stone and Dapple. An altarpiece 7 meters separates the nave and the apse. This altar is decorated with four Corinthian columns and three statues (St Lubin, patron of the parish, St Jouan and St. Radegund) and a beautiful painting created in 1996 by the artist Evelyne Bacchi Rosimirio entitled "Suffer the Little Children. " The first floor of the church is a rosette containing the personal belongings of St Lubin (including the famous belt where are registered the words "You duca you signore e tu maestro deo gracias").
• Since April 2004, a statue (donated by one of the inhabitants of the town), representing the Virgin and St. Anne child is in front of the confessional.

• Located towards Combres the communal washhouse built in 1901, is one of the heritage Chassant. The age of Colombier is about 900 years.
