| TOWN PRESENTATION |
A common gateway to the Anjou, located on the roads of King Rene, but also the birthplace of Gilles de Rais, well known as Bluebeard, a legendary tales of Perrault. While crossing the town, one can admire the remains of his castle (can be visited), whose original construction dates from the 10th century. It was destroyed by Louis 11th, rebuilt in the 16th century, then dismantled during the religious wars. The Park of Rome, a paradise for fishermen also offers beautiful walks. This drink, once used by waterway and the boats and towed used to float timber.
