Champlemy is one of two municipalities where the Nièvre rises. It is this river which gives its name to the department. It is part of the basin of the Loire. The place called The Colts on the edge of the town lies on the line of the watershed basin of the Seine and the Loire.

Rural community, it is surrounded by fields, meadows and woods.

The town has many very typical washing. The church and the granary in the figures are Champlemy.

Champlemy is a step on the path of Saint Jacques de Compostela. The many lanes and paths can explore the town.
