Chambonas is located between Happy Ardeche, Villefort and Saint-Ambroix, 2 km Vans, on the banks of Chassezac at the crossroads of footpaths and the Cevennes GR4.

It is a picturesque village with old houses set on a rocky outcrop near the Chassezac. It has a particularly good situation and a rich historic heritage. Bridge Chambonas is the largest medieval bridge department of Ardeche. The castle of the thirteenth, 16th and 17th dazzles with five terraces of the park to the French mid-eighteenth century.

To visit the Romanesque church of the 12th: nave, carved frieze outside.

A view from the outside only: the castle with its French gardens designed by Le Nôtre (or, more likely, by his students). The bridge (on Chassezac) built in the 13th by the monks of Saint-Gilles, who was destroyed and rebuilt in the sixteenth.
