Small town of more than a thousand inhabitants, Cerisy-la-Salle takes place in the Channel, on the banks of the Soulles. Located in the heart of the Normandy countryside, it is located about twenty kilometers from Saint-Lô, not far from Belval and Notre-Dame-de-Cenilly.
Fief offered in 1327 to Robert de Pierrepont, Cerisy-la-Salle takes its current name in 1732 when it is erected in marquisate. The town merges a few years later with the parish of The Hague-du-Puits. Despite a fairly peaceful history, it still suffered greatly from the wars of religion because it was then a hotbed of Protestantism.
Today, Cerisy-la-Salle continues to seduce by its charm, its proximity to some of the most beautiful cities of the Channel, or its architectural heritage.
