Rightly ranked among "the most beautiful villages in France", Castelnau-de-Montmiral was founded in 1222 by Raymond VII, Count of Toulouse.

Proudly perched on its rocky outcrop, the village is a true observation lookout who knows the Middle Ages, a boom and saw a stately home to build an impregnable fortress doubled.

• Place des Arcades: Characteristic of the country houses of the Southwest, surrounded by covered and located in the village center.
• Church of Our Lady of the Assumption: From the 15th century, it retains many original features: the porch and the sanctuary polychrome. In the treasure room, Cross reliquary of the consuls, a veritable masterpiece of goldsmith of the early 14th century.
• Place de la Rose: Place of rendezvous for pilgrims leaving for Rome and Saint Jacques de Compostela. Remains of the noble house of Tonnac where Louis the 13th was received in 1622. A rose was carved on the edge of the wall.
• The Pechmiral: Climb Pechmiral see the statue of the Virgin. Magnificent view over the forest Grésigne, the Albigensians.
• Place Hospital: In 1504, a hospital existed on this site. After its destruction, stood a tower built instead of hospital. You can see two stones the arms of France with an inscription.
• Gate Garrics: Only conserved door facing the road from Gaillac. Fine example of military architecture of the 13th century.
• TOULZE Tower, site of the old castle destroyed in 1819, remains of stairs.
• Hiking: The trail Lagarde Castle - 12.5 kilometers.
