TOWN PRESENTATION

Carquefou is a city rich past. On the territory of Carquefou, was once a Roman town named Arlèze. Remains have been found in the Bois St. Lys and Brechetière. Destroyed by the Germanic invasions in the Middle Ages, a castle called Carcafagum took place, whose meaning is "place planted beech.
