Located on the shores of the Maas, Bulligny is an old village that has existed since the time the Gaul became a Roman.
The inhabitants of the Bulligny called Bullignaciens.
In 1801 the village had 873 inhabitants, in 2007: 517.
Before the phylloxera, 100 hectares of vines were used. Today, it remains about 35.
Bulligny remains a village wine vocation, benefiting from the AOC. There are at village: 5 wine professionals operating a surface of 5 at 7 acres, 2 semi-professional growers cultivating each a little over 1 hectare; thirty individuals declaring an annual harvest of wine. The average output per year is 140 000 liters, of which 110 000 l for professionals and 30 000 l for individuals.
Apart from the vine, there is more economic activities, whereas before the war of 39-45 there were 21 shops and 17 artisans. If there is more business and craft Bulligny has maintained its primary school which accommodates 90 to 95 students.
To discover the circuit ride in the Bois Brule, starting with the center of the village, you will discover the vineyard Bulligny, community pond called the pond and the communal forest. You'll also get a superb view over the plain of Colombey-les-Belles and the city of Toul.
Do not forget to visit the town of winemakers who will be pleased to enjoy their products!
On 1 May of each year the residents of Commons Allamps, Blénod-lès-Toul, of Bulligny and Vannes-le-Chatel be found at the base of Four Bans.
Each year the weekend of Ascension takes place for new music festival organized by the SCIC Turbullance.
The 2nd weekend of September takes place the main festival.
During Heritage Day in September, you can explore the castle park of Tuméjus classified.
