Quiet town of about 15,000 inhabitants, located on the banks of the Marne, between the towns of Perreux-sur-Marne, Noisy-le-Grand, Villiers-sur-Marne Nogent-sur-Marne, in the department Val-de-Marne, north-east of Paris.

Bry-sur-Marne is twinned with two cities Foreign Sawbridgeworth Moosburg in Germany and England.

In the past, Bry was farmland until the early 1980s. In the center, there were essentially farmers, some merchants.

Two islands on the Marne: past, there was a flour mill on the other island, "Island of Love", a boat used in the manufacture of Sèvres porcelain.
