Brive-la-Gaillarde, the brave, the fortress is situated on the border of the Correze (Limousin), 10 km from the Perigord (Aquitaine) and 15 km of the Lot (Midi-Pyrenees). It is the capital of the Brive Basin and sub-prefectures in the Correze. 50 000, 80 000 with agglomeration is the largest city in the county.

Its historic center has kept its authenticity and boasts a rich architectural heritage, a sort of shopping mall where shops open and heritage of high quality meet.
