Château de Castelnau-Bretenoux:
Built in the 17th to the 12th century by a powerful family of barons, the castle of Castelnau ordered in Upper Quercy valley rich territory on the borders of the county of Toulouse, the county of Auvergne, vicomte de Turenne, and the duchy Aquitaine.
It has kept its great extent, the result of several building campaigns.
From 1100, the first barons erected a fort on the model of "new castles, dominated by a tower surrounded by a teacher and village castle. From the original fortress has been preserved the stately home and the square keep.
See a feudal power of increasingly powerful and rich thanks to alliances, the castle was continually enlarged and fortified by his lords. It was adapted to artillery in the 15th century. Thus he proved impregnable behind its imposing walls equipped indoor ranges, the wide gap provided false breeches (lower chamber) and tall curtains to walkway connected by circular corner towers.
In the 17th century it was embellished with richly decorated rooms, tall windows and portico galleries, one of them opened on a balcony of honor.
After the death of the last of Castelnau in 1715, the castle underwent a long period of deterioration. It ended in 1896 with the tenor of the Opera-Comique Jean Mouliérat, who acquired the castle and began to restore it. He assembled a large collection of furniture, tapestries and works of religious art. Castelnau was given to the State by its last owner's death in 1932.

In July Festival Bi-Africa: The association Gass Nelot aims to exchange art and culture between Senegal and France and provide financial support in the construction of new wells in Senegal. She invited the Senegalese artists to perform on the French scene to promote their arts. This translates to Biars-sur-Cere by three days of training (dance and African percussion), children's workshops, lectures, concerts and African cuisine.
