TOWN PRESENTATION
  • The common Bras-sur-Meuse was predestined to experience a particular history is closely interwoven with the great history.   • The Gallo-Roman occupation is probably the origin of the name of the village today, a derivative of Gauls "Bracium" which means "valley".   • In the Middle Ages, his name is mentioned for the first time by the Bishop of Verdun Dadon (880-923), arms belongs to a group born of the territorial division of Verdun (843): the future "Lorraine" or Lorraine.
