The confines of Anjou and Touraine, Brain-sur-Allonnes, parcel of 3332 acres of "garden of the kings of France, is one of those villages where one likes to live and enjoy the sweetness of Anjou. To the west, 15 km separate it from the chief town of the arrondissement of Saumur. In the north it is bordered by the forest to the east, the vineyards of Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil. The Loire River runs south to 9 km.
It traces its history from the earliest times, from the Gallo-Roman, still visible remnants of construction of the 3rd century (on the path of interpretation) and the Middle Ages with the site of Chivalry Sacé (XIII / XIV).
Agriculture is Queen: gardening, vines, fruit trees, livestock, dairy cows, we also find one of the largest blueberry farms: 14 acres in the forest. His Perrières old cellars were converted into mushroom farms, logging of its 1087 acres of woodland and forest is thriving.
- Site of the Knighthood of Sacé: ruins of a fortified house built about 1290. The visit to discover the remains of the Middle Ages through the underground, testimony of the past where the Knight of Jehan Sacé occupied this house strong.
- Museum of History and Archeology: a portion of tile decorated discovered on the site and many archaeological discoveries therein.
- The medieval botanical garden with over 700 species of plants spread in clumps scattered ordained or run along a trail in the woods. This garden has all kinds of plants in applications as diverse as dyeing, health, food and even witchcraft. Among the plants become scarce in the region, you see mildew, belladonna, black jusquiane the balsamic, the Alexanders and calamint.

- Great medieval festival, the last Sunday of July. Acrobats, equestrian contests, craft show, games, medieval dinners, you will relive a day like in the year 1400.
