Bozouls lies at the heart of the Causse Comtal between Rodez and Aubrac. The geographical layout of the site Bozouls has done any time, an incomparable position of defense. The first village and its castle, built on the rocky outcrop, only accessible from the south, and were well protected.

Bozouls and geological site: it is a canyon-shaped horseshoe with impressive dimensions, 400 m in diameter and up to 100 m deep at the bottom of which flows the river Dourdou.
