Its location at the doors of the Touraine and Anjou, in the heart of the "garden of France", allows Bourgueil enjoy a mild climate outstanding. The rich cultural heritage, environment and quality of its wines have contributed to its fame.

Founded in 990, the Benedictine Abbey was the 12th to the 18th century, an institution with significant holdings include the Vendee and the Paris region.
