Bourg is the capital of Canton Bourg Gironde which includes 15 municipalities: Saint-Ciers Canesse de Saint-Trojan, Samonac, Villeneuve, Gauriac, Teuillac, Saint-Seurin-de-Bourg, Bayon-sur-Gironde , Tauriac, Prignac-and-Marcamps, Pugnac, Lansac, Comps and Mombrier.
